At Marta's Doggie Day Care, we understand that your dog is a valued member of your family. When you go on a family vacation, your dog comes with you too. Here in the Eastern Sierra town of Mammoth Lakes (and the surrounding area) you will find lots of pet friendly activities no matter what season. Before the snows fall there’s hiking, swimming and camping. After it snows your dog can go with you snowshoeing, hiking, and backcountry skiing or snowboarding. Sometimes, however, you want to do something without your dog, and you don’t want to leave your dog alone and lonely. That’s where we come in. Your dog goes from your family to our family.

We are very small and take only a few dogs at a time, that way they get lots of love and attention. We do not have a kennel and the dogs stay in our home with us, just like they do in your home. To stay with us, your dog must be house trained, neutered / spayed, up to date with vaccinations and well socialized with people and other dogs. We want your dog to be comfortable and have fun here with us. We try to keep your dog's schedule as close as possible to the ususal "at home" schedule. We feed only the food that you provide (no people food) and doggie treats with your permission only. We can follow instructions for any special needs such as medication administration. A Typical Doggie Day Care Day Morning Breakfast Short potty walk Hang out in living room and deck area Longer walk (some favorites are Snow Creek Meadow or Hidden Lake) Play time/ nap time Mid day Short potty walk Car ride to run errands Afternoon 2nd longer walk (some favorites are Shady Rest and Mammoth Rock Trail) quiet time/ or play time with other dogs Evening Dinner Short potty walk Bed time story and "tuck in" We encourage you to bring some special toys and a blanket or doggie bed, so that your dog has some comfortable and familiar things. This helps to make the adjustment from your place to ours.
